YORBA LINDA, Calif.—Biola Men's Soccer has added a local athlete who plans to make an impact on the field this fall. Colton Hunter of Esperanza High School is committed to join Head Coach Todd Elkins and the Eagles for his college career.
 
Hunter is a midfielder who has three years of starting varsity experience under his belt as well as being named captain of his team his junior and senior seasons. It is Hunter's positive influence and his ability to lead a team is what made him a good fit for Biola.
 
"Colton has good vision and field awareness with the passing ability and range to play the ball that's needed," said Head Coach Todd Elkins. "He's comfortable and quick on the dribble but ready to release the ball at just the right time."
 
Esperanza had a successful run in Hunter's time with the team. He led the Aztecs to three straight league championships and an appearance in the CIF semi-finals. In that time, Hunter was all-league first team two years in a row and was named the North Hills League offensive MVP. He plans to bring the same winning attitude to Biola.
 
"I came to Biola and trained with the team and felt right at home," said Hunter. "Biola is not far from home and has an atmosphere that I fell in love with."
 
Hunter was a scholar-athlete who plans to major in human biology. He hopes to one day have a career in chiropractic medicine or physical therapy.
