LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The College Sports Information Directors of America released its 2015-16 NAIA At-Large Academic All-District honorees on Thursday morning and four Eagles made the grade.
 
For the second time in her four-year career Abby Blake earned the prestigious academic honor. She was joined by first time honorees Sammy Dammann, Sophia Dammann and Lucas Lee.
 
The at-large honorees come from a pool of nominees from various NAIA institutions offering tennis, swimming & diving, beach volleyball, bowling, rowing, fencing, field hockey, gold, gymnastics, rifle, ice hockey, lacrosse, skiing, men's volleyball, water polo and wrestling.
 
Blake, a senior English major, earns the award for the second time after completing another record-breaking season as a distance freestyle swimmer for Eddie Shepard's swim & dive team.
 
The Dammann twins, both sophomores, have cumulative grad point averages right around a 4.0 and were both a part of the Eagles' nationals contingent that helped Biola's women's swim team take home fourth place in the nation this year.
 
Lee is a second year player on Brent Worthington's men's tennis team. He had a huge season on the court with a 14-6 singles mark, 12-10 doubles mark and all-conference honors. He's also hovering right around a 4.0 GPA as a business administration major in his third year academically.
 
In order to earn academic all-district status a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a GPA over 3.30 and must be a significant contributor to the athletic success of their team.
 
The honorees are nominated by their institution's sports information office and then voted on by the sports information director's from around the district. Academic All-District award winners are then eligible to be selected as Academic All-Americans. The at-large Academic All-Americans are released June 6.
