PRESCOTT, Ariz. --- Head Coach Jane Carr's women's golf team continued its spring season this week with a trip over to Antelope Hills Golf Club for the team's third, and final, Arizona tournament of the 2015-16 season.
 
Biola finished third of five teams with a two-round score of 653 (+77). The Eagles finished right in the middle of a pack that included Arizona Christian, Embry-Riddle (host), Marymount and the University of the Southwest.
 
Embry-Riddle was the host of the two-day tournament aptly named the Embry-Riddle Spring Invite. The Eagles of Prescott also won the tournament with a two-round total of 622 (+46). The team also had the low scorer for the tournament in Trae Jones. Jones hit the low score during each day of competition (75, 70) as she won the competition by six strokes at +3 overall.
 
Biola's highest individual finishers ended in a tie for seventh at 160 (+16). Jasmine Rodriguez and Sarah Paravia both recorded consistent performances in both rounds as the senior shot 79 and 81 and the sophomore finished with two rounds of 80.
 
Carr brought six golfers with her on the trip and her top-5 finishers just happened to be the ones she selected as her counters. Lauren Van Horn finished as the third-lowest scorer for BU. She dropped six strokes between round one and round two to finish with a 166 (+22) overall score. It was a great performance from the sophomore that became her new season-best in a two-round tournament.
 
Van Horn placed 12^th overall and just behind her was Mary Karnazes. Karnazes finished 14^th with a 167 (+23). She was just as consistent as Paravia was when she followed an 84 with an 83 to record the team's fourth-best score.
 
Amanda Hobbs dropped eight strokes on day two to improve her score greatly as she finished fifth among the Eagles' counters. She tied for the fourth-best day two score.
 
Biola's next time out is its final regular season tournament. The Eagles will play at the UC Santa Cruz Invite March 19-20 before a month of preparation begins for the 2016 GSAC Championships.
