LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Palm Beach Atlantic is a NCAA Division II opponent that paid a visit to the Biola Tennis Center from West Palm Beach, Florida on Monday afternoon.
 
After some heavy rain and thunderstorms early in the morning the sunshine came out and the match was played with the Sailfish snagging an 8-1 victory.
 
Biola's lone match win of the day came at No. 4 singles where Kelsey Post found a way to gut out a 12-10 win in a tiebreaker set to keep the Eagles from getting shutout.
 
The Eagles lost the other five singles matches in straight sets and dropped all three doubles matches. Katherine Ashford and Brooke Sanford came the closest to stealing a doubles win with an 8-4 final score.
 
The loss drops Biola to 3-9 while Palm Beach Atlantic improved to 4-4 overall. The Eagles are back in action a week from Tuesday at home against Kenyon College.
