LA MIRADA, Calif. --- They say the third time is a charm and that three is the magic number. For Alec de Watteville it indeed was. The junior shortstop has three consecutive weeks deserving of the Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week nod and finally got it on March 28.
 
De Watteville was honored by the conference for his performance during Biola's three-game sweep of Hope International between March 22-24.
 
Over the course of those three victories de Watteville hit .538 (7-for-13) and slugged 1.000 as Biola pulled its overall record to .500 and moved to 10-8 in GSAC play.
 
The Eagles' captain has quickly proved himself to be among the most dangerous threats in all of the conference as he's now inside of the top-5 in homeruns (10) and RBI (40).
 
In each of the three games against Hope International de Watteville managed a minimum of three RBI with four RBI in the last two games. He's got at least three RBI in six of the Eagles' last 10 games. He's raised his season batting average from .258 to .315 over that same span.
 
Biola Baseball takes a break from GSAC play this week as it plays Antelope Valley twice on the road on Tuesday and splits a home and away series with Providence Christian later in the week.
