Eagles Gain Experience Against NCAA D1 UC Riverside

Biola falls 0-7, but it enjoys a great time of morning tennis at a large DI institution.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- It was an exciting morning for Biola Women's Tennis on Saturday as the Eagles traveled down the 91 freeway for a matchup at NCAA Division I UC Riverside.

The Highlanders worked through Biola's lineup one by one en route to a 7-0 victory in a match where the three doubles matches counted as one per NCAA rules.

"They all played well with the different format," said Head Coach Dee Henry. "No warm up.  No ad scoring.  They made the adjustment so well and got some great experience."

Biola lost each match in straight sets in a day that looks rough on the scoresheet. Despite the scores it was great experience for Henry's team to play at a big NCAA institution.

Biola falls to 1-3 on the season, while the Highlanders move to 2-3. The Eagles are back in action on Tuesday as they get back to Golden State Athletic Conference play with a 1:00 p.m. match at Hope International.
