RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- It was an exciting morning for Biola Women's Tennis on Saturday as the Eagles traveled down the 91 freeway for a matchup at NCAA Division I UC Riverside.
Â
The Highlanders worked through Biola's lineup one by one en route to a 7-0 victory in a match where the three doubles matches counted as one per NCAA rules.
Â
"They all played well with the different format," said Head Coach
Dee Henry. "No warm up. No ad scoring. They made the adjustment so well and got some great experience."
Â
Biola lost each match in straight sets in a day that looks rough on the scoresheet. Despite the scores it was great experience for Henry's team to play at a big NCAA institution.
Â
Biola falls to 1-3 on the season, while the Highlanders move to 2-3. The Eagles are back in action on Tuesday as they get back to Golden State Athletic Conference play with a 1:00 p.m. match at Hope International.
