PRESCOTT, Ariz. --- For the second time in as many collegiate tournaments Mychaela Graf has earned the title of champion. The Eagles' star freshman posted a three-round total of 229 (+13) to win the 2015 Embry-Riddle Co-Ed Invite by six strokes.
 
The Eagles finished fourth overall in the field of seven teams and posted a very competitive team total of 967 (+103) to finish just one stroke out of third place and 13 strokes back from the tournament winner, Arizona Christian.
 
Graf's round two 74 is what made the difference and helped her etch out the six stroke advantage she had over the second-place golfer, Taylor Kain-Godoy. Kain-Godoy shot a second round 80, which accounted for the exact six stroke difference.
 
The 74 was a new season-best for Graf, whose previous best was a 75 that keyed her victory at last week's ACU Firestorm Fall Invite.
 
The great weather all weekend long helped Biola post some strong scores throughout the two-day tournament, including wrapping up with a 321 on day two, which is the team's third-best round of the season.
 
Joining Graf in the top-10 is Sarah Paravia who gets her second seventh-place finish of the season. She shot her best round of the tournament on Monday morning to finish at 239 (+23) to tie for seventh place. She and Graf both shot 76s on day two to lead all of the Biola shooters.
 
Rounding out Biola's scorecard is Mary Karnazes who finished tied for 13^th at 244 (+28), Lauren Van Horn who finished tied for 19^th at 256 (+40) and Amanda Hobbs who finished in 26^th at 268 (+52).
 
After getting off to a rough start Hobbs lowered her score in each round she shot, including ending with a tournament-best 86 in round three. She dropped eight strokes from her round one number.
 
The Eagles have just about a month off now before next competing at the CSU San Marcos Fall Invite at Twin Oaks Golf Course Oct. 26-27.
