LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Tennis will host the 2015 United States Tennis Association/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Western Regional NAIA Championship at the Biola Tennis Center and La Mirada Regional Park Sept. 24-26.
 
The event features live tennis matches all day from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. In addition to the collegiate tennis, there will be some special kids tennis on Saturday early-morning/afternoon.
 
Biola has competitors in men and women's open doubles and singles. In 2014 the Eagles had one women's doubles pairing earn a win over the tournament's No. 1 seeded pairing and make it to the semifinals, but saw early exits in the other draws.
 
The Eagles will be hoping for more success on each side in 2015 with both teams having made improvements to their lineups over the offseason.
 
The Western Regional NAIA Championship features players from Biola, Westmont, San Diego Christian, Arizona Christian and Hope International.
 
The singles and doubles champions from this event earn an automatic berth into the 2015 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships in mid-October. The winners of that national event earn wildcard berths into the Division I USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
