WALNUT, Calif. --- Cat Gonzalez is a midfielder with a nose for the goal who looks to bolster Biola's attack from the center of the field. She commits to join Head Coach Erin Brunelle's team for the 2015 season.
 
"She is a quick attacking center midfielder who likes to get the ball, go forward and create opportunities," said Brunelle. "She had a lot of responsibilities in the midfield at her high school. It will be fun to see her playing with girls who will free her up to be more creative in looking to score."
 
Gonzalez comes to the Eagles after four varsity seasons at Walnut High School. Her contributions to the Mustangs' girl's soccer team landed Gonzalez in Walnut's athletics hall of fame.
 
She was the rookie of the year as a freshman and earned all-league first team honors as a sophomore and junior before wrapping up her four years with team MVP honors.
 
In addition to her contributions to Walnut, Gonzalez also spent nine years playing for various club soccer teams in the area.
 
"When I was looking to further my soccer years with college God had the final decision," said Gonzalez. "I had a couple friends that were looking into Biola, and once I had the opportunity to practice with the team and tour the campus I knew this was home. Biola seems like a great place to grow in my education, soccer and my relationship with God."
 
Gonzalez joins the team this fall and will major in liberal arts/elementary education.
