IRVINE, Calif. --- Biola Track & Field sent a handful of student-athletes to the UC Irvine Adidas/Steve Scott Invitational on Friday in an attempt to get more qualifiers for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
 
Kevin Horchler made that mission accomplished when he placed 16^th in the 5,000m with a 14:54.19. That got him a 'B' qualifying time for the national meet.
 
The Eagles also sent pole vaulters Christina Clark and Nicole Falkenstein to Irvine. Falkenstein vaulted to 3.50m to finish 17^th and Clark made it to 3.20m to place 26^th.
 
Biola will compete at the Oxy Invite next weekend with a larger squad.
