NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Nationals Qualifiers Announced

Biola sends 15 student-athletes to Gulf Shores, Alabama to compete for a title.

Brandon Berz and Brooke Arvidson are two of the Eagles' 15 national qualifiers.

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Track & Field will take two men and at least 13 women with it to the 2015 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 21-23.
 
The NAIA announced it's official qualifying list on Friday, listing the 15 Eagles and the events they qualify for.
 
Biola brings with it five freshmen, two sophomores, seven juniors and one senior. Kevin Horchler (sr.) and Brandon Berz (so.) are the representatives from the men's team. Horchler will compete in the 5,000m run and Berz will run the 3,000m steeplechase.
 
A strong contingent of seven juniors will lead a full women's squad into competition, with a combined 18 track & field All-American honors between them.
 
Anika Gasner and Kellian Hunt lead the way, as Gasner has six career T&F All-American nods and Hunt has six.
 
Other women's qualifiers include: Brooke Arvidson, Kathleen Bell, Christine Clark, Michelle Clark, Morgan Dworak, Nicole Falkenstein, Emily Heisinger, Taylor Holcomb, Alisa Murray, Kate Smiley and Teddi Wright.
 
Biola's women's team finished 23rd overall at the 2014 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
