RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. --- Reyna Rosalez joins a long line of homeschooled high school students to commit to homeschooled Head Coach Eddie Shepard's swimming and diving program at Biola.
 
Rosalez spent five seasons competing with the Fontana Aquatics team, including three at the varsity level, and is located in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
 
"I am thrilled that Reyna has chosen to be a part of our program next year," said Shepard. "She is a talented athlete who has a lot to bring to our team. I look forward to seeing her grow as a college athlete in the years to come."
 
Through her high school years Rosalez was a part of some impressive relay teams, participating in the winter age group in Las Vegas, June age group in La Mirada and the Junior Olympics in Riverside. She and the rest of her relay swimmers each set new personal-bests.
 
Individually, she placed third overall in a group of 60 swimmers at a pentathlon, which will groom her well for the PCSC Pentathlon Biola competes in each year. She also finished top-8 in the 200-backstroke at the Southern California Championship meet in February.
 
In addition to her success in the pool, Rosalez was a scholar-athlete all four years of high school.
 
"I didn't choose to come to Biola, the Lord did," said Rosalez. "In my heart Biola was my dream college, and when the Lord revealed it to me that He wanted me to attend Biola I was, and still am, so excited."
 
Rosalez will enter the school in fall of 2015 and plans to study production as a part of the Cinema and Media Arts program. She hopes to become a director and own a film studio after graduation.
