Biola Divers Close Season on NCAA Stage

Caleb Pook posts a personal best on the 3-meter while three Biola women make their championship debuts in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. --- The Biola dive teams closed out their season in Indiana at the NCAA Division II Championships. The Eagles sent an historic four total divers.

Caleb Pook, a decorated diver in Biola's history, competed on both the 1- and 3-meter boards. He finished 32nd on the 1 meter board with a score of 220.50. On the 3-meter board, Pook put up a personal best 209.95, placing 35th.

On the women's side, Peyton Nelson, Lauren Smith, and Eliana Ko all qualified for the 1- and 3-meter boards. 

Nelson, in her first and only season on the dive team, placed 32nd (179.65) on the 1-meter and 37th (154.90) on the 3-meter. 

Smith, making her first appearance at the championships, placed 39th (96.95) on the 1-meter and 38th (102.00) on the 3-meter board. 

Ko, also making her first championship appearance as a freshman, placed 38th (148.40) on the 1-meter and 34th (169.80) on the 3-meter.

A great day of competition closed out another historic season for Biola's growing diving program.
