IRVINE, Calif. --- Trevor Treinen is an All-CIF First Team guard and a member of the Principal's Honor Roll at Servite High School, and after he graduates this spring he'll bring his game to Biola Men's Basketball.
Â
Treinen is a three-year varsity athlete who led the Friars to three deep CIF postseason runs and earned himself an All-CIF First Team selection in 2015 and All-CIF Second Team selection the year before that.
Â
He averaged nearly 20 points-per-game as a senior and served as captain for the team. He scored 1,219 points during his three standout seasons for Servite, placing him fifth on their all-time scoring list.
Â
In addition to the All-CIF honors, Treinen earned all-league first team recognition during his junior and senior seasons and placed on the Principal's honor roll twice.
Â
"When I visited the campus I was very surprised by all that Biola had to offer. The campus was beautiful and everyone was very friendly," said Treinen. "The coaching staff is very supportive and very hands-on, and I can tell that they really invest their time in the team."
Â
Treinen is an Irvine-native and appreciated that Biola was close enough to home that his parents would still be able to watch him play.
Â
He enters the university in fall of 2015 and plans to study business or kinesiology. He would like a career as a chiropractor or in sports medicine.
