LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- Biola sent a very small contingent of runners to Friday's Occidental College Distance carnival and made appearances only in the men and women's 5,000m run.

Brandon Berz was the only male to get in on the action on Friday night, finishing 97
th with a 15:44.89.

The Eagles had three freshman females run in the women's 5,000m, with
Hannah Feehan leading the charge with her 56
th-place finish. She posted a 19:12.57. The race winner was Melissa Skiba from Cal Lutheran, who completed the run in 16:53.50.

Following Feehan was
Stephanie Croy, who placed 69
th with her 19:28.96, and
Delanie Eng rounded out Biola's field of runners with a 76
th-place run. She was the only Biola runner to finish the race faster than her seeded time. She ran a 19:44.34 and was seeded at 19:45.00.

There were 128 runners in the women's 5,000m and 203 on the men's side.

The Eagles were scheduled to compete in the Ben Brown Invitational on Saturday, but they did not. The team's schedule resumes at the Redlands Invitational on March 20.
