CLEVELAND, Ohio --- Points from men and women's swimming and diving and men and women's indoor track & field help Biola secure its 11^th-place standing in the latest NAIA Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings.
 
The Eagles' seventh-place finish in women's swimming earned them 69 points, the 10^th-place men's finish brought in 60 points and the joint efforts from track & field athletes brought in 70 more points.
 
Adding those 199.0 points to Biola's fall total of 136.0 gives them 335.0 total points, which actually ties them with Concordia for the 11^th spot in the national rankings. The Eagles and Eagles represent the two highest-ranked Golden State Athletic Conference programs.
 
Other GSAC teams inside the top-50 are: Westmont (#33), The Master's College (#42) and Vanguard (#44). Vanguard made every fall national championship event, but failed to get any points through the first release of these winter standings. They will bring in some points with the next release (on March 26) because of their women's basketball team making the national tournament.
 
Lindsey Wilson College leads the first edition of the winter standings with 542.5 total points to this point of the season. Two top-15 finishes in swimming and a top-3 finish in men's wrestling earned the Blue Raiders 265.50 points through the first half of winter play.
 
The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 12 sports -- six women's and six men's.
 
The final NAIA winter standings will be released Thursday, March 26. Biola's point total will remain unchanged as neither basketball team will be earning points this season.
