LA MIRADA, Calif. --- After going nuts from the field in the second half of Biola's 75-63 come-from-behind victory over San Diego Christian and posting solid numbers in a close road loss to No. 10 Arizona Christian, Pierre Zook is named the Golden State Athletic Conference men's basketball player of the week for games between Feb. 2-8.
 
Zook had a phenomenal outing against the Hawks in Biola's Saturday night victory, posting 25 points in his 38 minutes on the court and adding three steals, two assists and limiting himself to committing just one personal foul.
 
He was the driving force in the Eagles' ability to erase ha huge first-half deficit and end with a convincing conference victory. He scored 19 of his game-high 25 points in the final 20 minutes, going 6-of-8 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line in a very impressive second half.
 
In the 1-1 week for Biola Zook stood out in both games, averaging 22 points-per-game and shooting .625 from the floor in between the two outings.
 
Zook is one the best, if not the best, pure shooters in the GSAC this season. He's currently in the top-15 in scoring (13.7 ppg), field goal percentage (.502) and minutes (31.8 mpg) and he leads the GSAC in 3-point field goals made (73/2.3 per gm) and is second in 3-point field goal percentage (.493).

Zook earns Biola's first basketball conference player of the week award of the 2014-15 season, and it is his first conference award since joining the Biola team last season.
 
He and the Eagles have just one game this week as they prepare for the final stretch of the regular season. That one game is a big one though, facing No. 2 Hope International on the road Saturday night.
