ALISO VIEJO, Calif. --- Biola sent runners, throwers and jumpers to Aliso Viejo to compete against a mix of NCAA, NAIA and junior college competition at the 2015 SOKA Indoor Qualifier Meet on Saturday.

Kellian Hunt had a big day for the Eagles, finish second overall in the mile and 1,000m. Hunt finished five seconds behind Karis Frankian from The Master's College to place second of 15 runners in the mile (5:22.59). She was second of five in the 1,000m, finishing behind a different TMC runner with a time of 3:06.03.

Biola had four other top-three finishes on Saturday, including a third-place showing from
Taylor Holcomb,
Kate Smiley,
Megan Ransom and
Morgan Dworak in the 4x400m relay. The quartet ran a 4:07.08 to finish 15 seconds back from a group from UC San Diego.

Holcomb was also a part of a very close race in the 60m dash, placing third with a :07.90.
Carrie Soholt was one of two other Eagles' distance runners to make a splash on Saturday, finishing second in the 5,000m (18:28.75), and event she's run at nationals in each of the last two seasons.
Sarah Pfaff came in two seconds behind Soholt to place third in the same race.

Biola gets back at it next Saturday at Pomona-Pitzer's Collegiate All-Comers meet.
