LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola's fall sports again led the way in the Golden State Athletic Conference as 20 student-athletes were honored with GSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition.

Men and Women's Cross Country, Men and Women's Soccer and Volleyball combined for the 20 academic awards with women's cross country leading the charge with eight student-athletes getting recognized.

In order to earn GSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition the student-athlete must be a junior or senior and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Fourteen of the Eagles' 20 honorees received the award for the first time this season.
Brooke Arvidson,
Anika Gasner and
Ilima Kung each won their third-career GSAC Scholar-Athlete nod (XC & Track).
Cristhian Aparicio,
Lauren Hoenecke and
Alyssa Mason each won it for a second time.

Among the 20 GSAC Scholar-Athletes nine have earned All-GSAC honors at least once and six have earned NAIA All-American status at least once.
