CARPINTERIA, Calif. --- Noah Reed definitely kept himself busy throughout his time in high school, participating in four different varsity sports, but it paid off as he is going to become a collegiate athlete.

The senior from Carpinteria High School graduates this spring and will join Biola Swim and Dive in the fall. He brings with him nine varsity seasons of swimming, water polo, basketball and football.
 
"I am very excited that Noah will be joining starting in the fall of 2015," said Head Coach Eddie Shepard. "He is a versatile athlete with a great mid-distance background. I feel Noah has amazing potential and will be a valuable part of our program."
 
While he was involved across the board, his primary interest was swimming as he swam all four years on the varsity squad. He led his team to a league championship as a freshman and as a junior won the 500-freestyle every time he competed.
 
He also won a league championship with his basketball team during his junior season and earned all-league second team recognition during the water polo season that year.
 
Off of the playing field Reed is a dedicated academic. He received an Academic Excellence award each of his four years as a Warrior. He also launched the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at Carpinteria and has grown it to include participation from seven percent of the school body.
 
When he arrives at Biola Reed plans to major in music in worship and hopes for a career as a worship leader. He's also pondered working as a high school teacher or firefighter.
 
"I chose Biola because I loved the way that God is integrated into everything, and I want to surround myself with that kind of atmosphere and people who are looking for the same thing," said Reed.
