LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Each year, multiple athletic programs at Biola run spring and summer youth sport clinics for young athletes of all ages. As the varsity sport seasons draw to a close, the camp season begins to ramp up.
Biola offers basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, softball camps and more, all of which are suitable for varying age groups and experience levels. The spring and summer 2014 camp schedule is still shaping up, but so far the women's basketball, men's basketball and both soccer programs have their dates and registrations set.
These camps are run by Biola's group of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics head coaches and assistant coaches, and some of them feature assistance from current Biola student-athletes.
Biola's spring camps kick-off next week with the girl's basketball spring clinic on May 10. This camp features hands-on training from Biola's Head Coach
Dr. Bethany Miller and assistant coach and former All-American Charrise Reece. The camp is open to girls between 4
th and 12
th grade.
Men and Women's Soccer Coach
Todd Elkins will hold a boy's and girl's elite ID soccer camp the following week (May 16-17) that is open to boy's and girl's in 10
th through 12
th grade or at a junior college. This camp is more competitive and will feature in-depth training.
More soccer camps follow in July as the teams host open residential camps and another high school camp.
Dr. Dave Holmquist and men's basketball is set to host two sections of multi-day boy's basketball day camps in July.
