Chang Gets To 10 In Tough Loss

Brandon Chang won Biola's only match on Saturday, becoming the first double-digit winner of the last five years.


FRESNO, Calif. --- For the second time this season NCAA Division II No. 9 Fresno Pacific left Biola licking its wounds following an 8-1 defeat.

This time, the Eagles traveled to Fresno to experience the blowout loss. This time it was Brandon Chang to picked up the lone match win for the Eagles.

He defeated Daniel Gianopolus in a super breaker at No. 5 singles to push his singles winning streak to five and officially become Biola men's tennis's first 10-match winner in a single season in the last five years. He improved his record to 10-7 after the win on Saturday.
 
Biola got handled in all other matches on the afternoon, gaining valuable experience in competing against some of the top NCAA tennis talent.
 
The Eagles will have a chance to rebound and continue their strong season when the face Lewis-Clark State college on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Biola Tennis Center.
