LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Whenever two players in one program both average a double-double per game they are bound to get their fair share of attention.

This week was the week for Biola's hoop stars, Adijat Adams and Andre Murillo, got their well-deserved attention. The two seniors swept the Golden State Athletic Conference weekly awards and are entered into the running for National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics athlete of the week.
 
Adams began the week by leading her Eagles to their fifth consecutive victory, in very convincing fashion, in a road win over Chapman. She came out slow, but then picked up the pace at the end of the contest to ensure her fifth double-double in the last six games with 14 points and a season-high 16 rebounds.
 
After the 65-55 win over the Panthers Biola had improved its record to 5-10 on the season. Adams and her teammates hit the road once again on Thursday night to take on CSU San Marcos in the team's final preseason contest.
 
It was a close contest all night long, as neither team ever trailed by more than six points, but the Eagles dropped their 11^th game of the season, 58-52. Adams played well throughout, earning another double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
 
She is averaging 15.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game this season in just 26.3 minutes per contest. She's achieving these numbers by being efficient with her shot selection, shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and almost 80 percent from the line.
 
Murillo has been the go-to scorer for the Eagles all season long, and his performance in Tuesday night's 98-66 win over West Coast Baptist reminded everyone of why.
 
The big man put up a season-high 27 points while dishing the ball to his teammates for six assists, and bringing down 15 rebounds. His performance seemed flawless as the senior forward drained 75 percent of his shots from the floor.
 
Most of his scoring took place in the first half as he and the Eagles built their lead. In the second half he still tacked on 11 points, but shift to a defensive focus by rebounding 10 shots and adding three of his assists.
 
This is Murillo's first time winning GSAC player of the Week and Adams' third honor; she won the award twice last season.
 
The NAIA player of the week awards are announced Tuesday afternoon.
