LA MIRADA, Calif. --- After another undefeated week by Biola's volleyball and soccer squads, two players stood out and were voted Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
 
Gracee Gallarda picked up 44 assists in four sets against The Master's College on Saturday night, 15 more assists than any other setter in the GSAC that night. She set up all but seven of the Eagles' 51 kills in their 3-1 win.
 
The senior setter is averaging 11.1 assists per game, which leads the GSAC and is seventh in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. This is the first time in her career that Gallarda has been named conference player of the week.
 
Morgan Aukshunas anchored BU's defensive back line as they allowed just one shot on goal in 90 minutes of play against No. 15 CSU San Marcos on Thursday. She played the entire game and came away with some key stops against CSUSM's forwards.
 
Aukshunas also hit a long, arching cross to set up the only goal of the game in BU's 1-0 win. She was voted the GSAC defensive player of the week for the first time in her four years as an Eagle.
 
Gallarda leads the Eagles back into action tonight as they face the No. 19 Vanguard Lions. Aukshunas and her teammates hit the pitch again on Friday in a road match against Notre Dame de Namur.
