SAN DIEGO, Calif. --- Jackie Mata dropped three strokes from her round one score to lead the Eagles with a low score of 86 on day two of the Point Loma Fall Preview Classic. Jasmine Rodriguez and Mata finished back-to-back in 28^th and 29^th to lead BU to a seventh place finish at their first full tournament of the year.
 
Marvi Monsalve from California Baptist won the individual title by shooting the only under-par score at the tournament (-1). California Baptist took the tournament by shooting a two-round score of 610 (+18).
 
The Eagles finished with a 730 (+138). Similar to Rodriguez and Mata, three other Bu athletes finished back-to-back to round out the counting scores for the squad.
 
Amanda Hobbs tied for 34^th by shooting a 181 (88-93) and Beth Williams (200) and Megan Anderson (214) took 36^th and 37^th.
 
Williams managed to drop 10 strokes from her first round score of 105, putting in a solid round on day two.
 
Biola and CSU San Marcos were the only two NAIA squads at the tournament, as all other schools were members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. CSUSM finished 5^th after shooting a 645.
 
Next Sunday and Monday the women's team competes at the Annual Co-Ed Invitational hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical in Prescott, Ariz. The Eagles placed third of six teams in this event last season.
