Box Score LA MRADA, Calif. --- The No. 12 Biola Eagles cannot be slowed and seemingly cannot be stopped as they win again to improve to 6-0-0 on the season.
 
"It was a good team to beat," said Head Coach Todd Elkins. "It was a win we needed."
 
The Eagles needed the win in order to keep up their torrid start to the season, but also to keep up with Golden State Athletic Conference foe Concordia, who beat Westminster 3-0 on Thursday.
 
Biola matched CUI step-for-step, defeating the Griffins 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Two of Biola's goals came from Joey O'Keefe, who put in his first two scores of the season on Saturday, and is not normally the go to option for the Eagles' offense.
 
"They pressed pretty hard on our normal goal scorers today," said Elkins. "So we needed to find new options to put up goals. Joey was there for those opportunities and he made the most of them. He got a lot of quality looks today."
 
O'Keefe's first tally came just 11 minutes into the game when both teams were still feeling each other out.
 
He was set up by a lead pass coming from Stephen Day, that helped him knock in a top shelf score from about 20 yards out.
 
Up until that point the game was still fairly even, with both teams spending time in their offensive third of the field.

After the goal, it became clear that the Eagles were going to dominate possession throughout the game. They slowed the game down and really worked hard to set up some strong offensive opportunities.
 
"We found more open spaces by looking up the field," said Elkins. "They focused on a few players, leaving others open to find the chance to score."
 
O'Keefe converted another, his second of the game and of the season, after Day took the ball all the way along the goal line and then hit a perfect cross that found O'Keefe sitting, ready to score, on the right post.
 
This put BU ahead 2-0 under 25 minutes into the game and allowed Elkins some more flexibility with his substitutions. This was flexibility he would need when the Eagles saw two players, Daniel Chew and Ryan Cooley go down with injuries in the second half.
 
Chew would quickly return to the game, but Cooley stayed off the field for good after hitting the turf hard in the 74^th minute. A play that resulted in a yellow card for Ryan Smith of Westminster, the only caution of the game.
 
Chew knocked home the final goal for the Eagles, his fifth of the year, a score off an open opportunity from 10 yards out.
 
Biola outshot the Griffins 29-8, but were also penalized by the referee, committing 14 fouls, as opposed to Westminster's seven.
 
BU looks to continue its blemish-free season with a home game against CSU San Marcos Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
