Box Score RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The same day they earned a No. 12 national ranking, Biola traveled to Riverside to take on the Golden Eagles of La Sierra, and they performed just as you may expect a No. 12 team to perform.
 
The Eagles consistent offensive attack led them to a 3-0 win over the Golden Eagles, moving them to 5-0 on the season, and dropping La Sierra to 2-2 on the year.
 
The scoring opened up midway through the first half when Daniel Chew hit a cross into the box looking to set up Stephen Tanquary. The cross was cut off by a Golden Eagle defender, Javier Prieto, and deflected into LSU's goal, putting the Eagles up 1-0.
 
The score would stick for the remainder of the first half, thanks in large part to the defense of BU that allowed zero shots on goal through the first 45 minutes.
 
After falling behind early, tensions rose on the La Sierra squad, resulting in 11 fouls and two yellow cards in the first half, including a yellow card on their head coach.
 
The Golden Eagles regained their composure and came out strong through the first 20 minutes of the second half, adding four shots on goal to their tally, but no goals.
 
In the 63^rd minute the Eagles struck again, as Stephen Tanquary scored his fourth goal in the last three games off of a cross into the box from John Hanscom.
 
The goal was his fourth of the season and ties him with Daniel Chew for the team lead.
 
After Scott Hayes picked up BU's only yellow card of the game in the 61^st minute, the victory margin was expanded in the 88^th minute when Carlos Ballesteros knocked in his second score of the season after Carlos Cristhian Aparicio fired a one-time chance deep into the box and Ballesteros converted off a deflection by Chew.
 
JT Addington finished the match with his third shutout of the season in tow, and added four saves to his season tally.
 
The Eagles have a few days to get some rest after a grueling five games in 15 days. They take on Westminster at Al Barbour Field on Saturday.
