LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola played its first match in over a week, but had a tough time against a top opponent, losing 9-0 to No. 10 Lewis-Clark State on Saturday morning at the Biola Tennis Center.
The Eagles fall to 3-16 on the season with the loss while the Warriors move to 8-7 and 4-0 on their swing through Southern California.
Biola got a great match at No. 6 singles by
Paige Erickson, who nearly took her opponent to a tiebreaker in the second set. She dropped the first 6-3, but came close in the second set before falling 7-5.
The Eagles head to the GSAC Tournament next week at Indian Wells.
