David Cline Named NAIA Honorable Mention All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Biola forward David Cline has been named a 2012-13 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Honorable Mention All-American as announced by the NAIA National Office on Wednesday afternoon.

Cline, from Rogers, Ark. (Shiloh Christian HS/University of Arkansas-Fort Smith), led the Eagles and ranked 10th in the GSAC in scoring by averaging 14.6 points per game. He also finished third in the GSAC and 26th in the NAIA rebounding, pulling down 8.0 boards per game. He was fourth in defensive rebounds with 5.4 per game and fifth in offensive rebounding at 2.6 per contest.

Cline also ranked among the GSAC leaders in three other categories, ranking ninth in field goal percentage (.533), eighth in minutes played (31.6/game) and 12th in blocks (0.53/game).
Cline had his best game of the year in his second game, scoring 32 points against Simpson University back in November. He also had one of his team-high nine double-doubles, scoring 27 points and pulling down 10 rebounds in win over San Diego Christian College in early-February.

The senior capped his career with a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double in Biola's GSAC Quarterfinal loss at No. 2 seed Hope International, hitting 6-of-12 from the field and adding two steals.
Cline and the Eagles capped the 2012-13 season with a 15-16 record, ending the season with a two-point loss at Hope International.
