LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola struggled in its season-opener on Saturday, falling 9-0 to No. 7 Westmont at the Biola Tennis Center in La Mirada.
The Eagles, ranked No. 24 in the NAIA Preseason Poll, fall to 0-1 and to 0-1 in GSAC play, while the Warriors move to 2-2 and are 1-0 in GSAC play.
Biola won just one game in the three doubles matches, that coming at No. 3 doubles where
Rodric Pence and
Brandon Chang fell 8-1.
In singles play, No. 1
David Mossman fought hard against Tim Goranson but ultimately fell 6-1, 6-3.
The Eagles return to action on Tuesday, traveling to Costa Mesa to face No. 5 Vanguard in a GSAC match at 2:00 p.m.
