IRVINE, Calif. --- Biola put forth a number of good individual matches, but not enough to pull out a win, falling 8-1 to No. 5 Concordia in a GSAC match on Saturday afternoon.
Biola falls to 1-4 on the season and to 0-3 in GSAC play while Concordia improves to 2-4 and to 1-2 in conference.
David Mossman and Isaiah Pekary teamed up for the lone with by Biola on the afternoon, beating Marc Reddmann and Patrick Szermeta 8-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Redric Pence had a close contest at No. 6 singles, winning the first set 6-3 before losing the second 7-5. In a hard-set tiebreaker, Concordia's Van Morgen was able to pull out the 10-7 win to take the match.
Biola returns to the courts on Friday, hosting Arizona Christian University in a GSAC match at 3:30 p.m.
