LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola's men's basketball head coach Dr. Dave Holmquist announced his 2012-13 schedule on Saturday, a slate which features 15 home and 14 road contests.

The Eagles, who are looking to make their fifth-straight trip to the NAIA National Tournament, open the season on Saturday, Oct 27 with a home game against Menlo College. The game will tip-off at 5:00 pm, the first of two home games with odd start times. Biola's second game of the season comes against Simpson University (Calif.) on Nov. 2 at 3:30 p.m.

The Eagles then hit the road for six of their next eight games, facing La Sierra University on Nov. 3 and Cal State San Marcos on Nov. 13. The Eagles travel to Carson to battle NCAA Division II Cal State Dominguez Hills on Nov. 17.

Biola then returns home to take on Pacific Union College on Nov. 20 and La Sierra University on Nov. 24 before heading back on the road. The Eagles make their lone long-road trip, heading to the Bay area to face William Jessup on Nov. 30 and Cal Maritime on Dec. 1.

After a trip up to Lancaster to face West Coast Baptist College on Dec. 10, the Eagles return home to take on Trinity Western University from British Columbia on Dec. 17. Biola takes time off for Christmas, returning to action on Dec. 29 to host the University of Victoria in a 3:30 p.m. game.

The new year brings three games in three days as Biola faces Pomona-Pitzer College on the road, then takes on UC Merced on Jan. 3 and West Coast Baptist on Jan. 4 at home.

The Eagles open GSAC play on Tuesday, Jan. 8, traveling to take on Westmont College. Biola's GSAC home opener comes on Jan. 12, hosting Vanguard University.

Two big GSAC games to circle on the calendar are the two against defending NAIA National Champion Concordia University. Biola defeated Concordia in all three meetings last year including taking the GSAC Tournament title in Irvine in March. The two teams meet in Irvine first on Jan. 26, then do battle in La Mirada on Feb. 16.

Biola closes out the regular season schedule on Feb. 23 against Westmont College on Senior Night.

The GSAC tournament begins with quarterfinals on Feb. 27 with semifinals on Mar. 1 and the championship game taking place on March 4. The 2012-13 NAIA National Tournament then runs from March 13-19.

Biola posted a 27-9 record last year and reached the NAIA Quarterfinals for the third-straight season. The Eagles went 14-6 in GSAC play and finished tied for second, but won the GSAC Tournament title--the first in program history--with an upset win at Concordia.
