MARION, Ind. --- Biola saw three of its athletes earn NAIA All-America honors including the eighth such honor for senior Nychele Fischetti, who missed her graduation ceremonies to compete in her program-best 12th NAIA National Championship over four years.

The Eagles competed at the 2012 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships at Indiana Wesleyan University over a three-day stretch and came back with a solid showing. 

Fischetti put the finishing touches on her outstanding career, placing eighth in the steeplechase to earn All-America honors for the eighth time in her career. The meet was also the 12th NAIA Championship she has competed in over her four years at Biola (Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field)--a first in program history.

Biola also had a solid showing in the pole vault where Taylor McCahon finished fourth in the women's vault by clearning 3.70m (12' 0.25") while Alex Calkins placed seventh on the men's side at 4.75m (15' 7.25"). The pair each earned All-America honors with McCahon bettering her seventh-place finish at the Indoor championships in March.

Rounding out the impressive performances for the Eagles were Kasey Schliach and Peter Stacy. Schliach placed 11th in the marathon with a 3:13:20, the second-fastest in Biola school history, just over one minute behind Mary McKiernan's record of 3:12:10 set in 1991. Stacy capped a solid season with a 14th-place finish in the javelin, throwing 183.11 feet.
