LA MIRADA, Calif. --- For just the third time this season, Biola was unable to pick up a match, falling to GSAC foe and No. 8-ranked Westmont College 9-0 in a conference match on Thursday afternoon at the Biola Tennis Center.

The Eagles drop to 5-12 on the season and to 2-10 in conference play while the Warriors move to 9-9 on the season and to 6-7 in GSAC action.

The No. 2 doubles team of David Mossman and Thomas Coibion played the closest doubles match before falling 8-4 as Westmont jumped out a 3-0 lead in the match. Coibion then was narrowly edged 7-5 in his match at No. 4 singles before losing 6-1 in the last match off in singles play. 

Biola returns to action on Friday, traveling to face No. 4 Azusa Pacific University in a GSAC match at 1:30 p.m.
