Box Score REDDING, Calif. --- Biola closed out its long trip to Northern California with a convincing 15-5 victory over Simpson University on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field in Redding.

The Eagles wrap up the trip going 2-2 and currently stand at 6-7 on the season.

Four players had at least two hits for Biola which collected a total of 13 in the contest after being held to just five by Simpson the day before.

Leading the hit parade was Michael Annunziata, who went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs, two runs scored and was also walked three times.

Biola got on the board early with a run in the first on an RBI single by Dustin Williams. The Eagles would extend the lead with five runs in the second thanks in large part to a two-run double by Johnny Farrington.

After allowing two runs to Simpson in the second, Biola got back one in the third on an RBI double by Benji Sutherland, then tallied four runs in the fourth to break the game open. The Eagles would benefit from two Simpson errors and a sacrifice fly in that inning.

Annunziata singled home Wesley Cottier in the fifth, then after two more runs by Simpson, Mac Sullivan brought home two more runs with a single in the sixth.

Erick Allen picked up the win in relief, going 3-2/3 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out three. Nick Turner got the start but struggled a bit, surrendering four runs on six hits over 4-1/3 innings.

Biola opens GSAC play next, traveling to Azusa Pacific University on Thursday and Friday for the first two games of a four-game series. The two games at Azusa begin at 5:00 p.m. with the teams closing out the series with a doubleheader on Saturday at Biola.
