LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Jessica Thong put forth a solid effort in her match at No. 6 singles, picking up Biola's only victory on Saturday as the Eagles lost a GSAC match 8-2 to No. 5 Concordia.

Biola (0-5, 0-3 GSAC) struggled against the highly-rated Concordia squad (3-0, 2-0 GSAC), which didn't lose a game in four of the six singles matches. However, not only did Thong win some games, she won the match by a convincing score of 6-3, 6-4.

"Jessica played well and just outsmarted her opponent," said Head Coach Dee Henry. "She did a great job out there."

Biola returns to action on Tuesday, traveling to Thousand Oaks to face California Lutheran University in a non-conference match at 2:00 p.m.
