David Mossman picked up Biola's lone victory on the day, coming from behind to win his match at No. 2 doubles in the Eagles' 8-1 loss to No. 11 Concordia on Saturday at the Biola Tennis Center.
Biola (1-3, 0-3 GSAC) had a tough go of it overall with Mossman's win the lone highlight of the day against Concordia (2-1, 2-0 GSAC).
Mossman dropped the first set 6-4, but rebounded with a 6-1 win in the second set. He the outlasted his opponent 10-8 in the tiebreaker to pull out the victory.
The doubles competitions, which started the match, were pretty close throughout. Isaiah Pekary and Anthony Sena suffered their first defeat at No. 3 doubles, falling 8-4. The other two matches ended in scores of 8-5.
Biola returns to action on Friday, hosting Occidental College in a non-conference match at 4:00 p.m. at the Biola Tennis Center.
