LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Despite a tough three-hour battle against one of the top teams in the NAIA, Biola lost a GSAC match against No. 2 Fresno Pacific University 9-0 on Thursday at the Biola Tennis Center.

The Eagles (0-4, 0-2 GSAC) received a solid showing from its No. 3 doubles team to start off the match. Danielle Calbeck and Jessica Thong put up quite the battle and nearly pulled off the upset, ultimately falling 8-6.

Thong also played well in singles, winning five games in her match at No. 5. 

Biola returns to the courts on Saturday, hosting Concordia University in a GSAC match beginning at 1:00 p.m.
