LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola was well represented on the 2012 All-Golden State Athletic Conference women's soccer team as seniors Katie Cabuling and Taylor Lundquist and juniors Jessica Austin and Morgan Gage were named to the all-conference squad on Thursday.

It was the second-straight year Lundquist and Austin earned All-GSAC honors whiel Cabuling and Gage were named to the squad for the team for the first time.

Lundquist, a senior midfielder from San Jose, has been a three-year starter since transferring to Biola for her sophomore season. She has led the team in minutes played all three seasons, missing just a handful of minutes each year. This season, Lundquist had a team-high 1,770 minutes, scoring two goals and adding three assists.

Lundquist recorded her lone game-winning goal on one of the best goals of the season. The senior curled a shot to the top right corner of the goal from 20 yards out, hooking it just under the upper corner of the goal to start the scoring against Arizona Christian.

Austin, a junior forward from Altadena, led the Eagles in scoring for the second-straight season, recording six goals and adding five assists for 17 points in 19 matches.

Austin came on strong at the end of the season, scoring four goals and adding five assists over the last eight games of the season. Along that stretch, she had back-to-back game match-winners, the first at Arizona Christian where she scored both of Biola's goals, and had a goal and an assist in a key win over The Master's College to close out the regular season.

Cabuling, a senior midfielder from Trabuco Canyon, scored three goals including two game-winners and added three assists before suffering a knee injury with four games left in the season.

Cabuling was a free kick specialist throughout the season, scoring two of her three goals on set pieces. Both came in nearly identical fashion as she curled a free kick around the wall and past the keeper. In addition, Cabuling was among the team leaders in minutes played before the injury, finishing with 1,101 minutes for the season.

Gage, a junior defender from Orange, was a solid contributor along the Biola back line, helping the Eagles allow just 19 goals in 20 matches this season. Gage played in all 20 matches, making 19 starts and appearing in 1,645 minutes--fourth-highest on the team.

Gage had one assist on the season, but it was a big one. She sent a cross into the box for teammate Miranda Starbeck, who sent it into the open net for the overtime-winner against Concordia University near the end of the season.

Biola wrapped up the 2012 season with a 12-7-1 overall record and placed third in the GSAC with a 7-3 conference mark. The Eagles reached the championship match of the GSAC Tournament for the first time in program history.
