LA MIRADA, Calif. --- For the second consecutive week, Biola sweep the Golden State Athletic Conference player of the week honors as sophomore goalkeeper Briana Williams and junior forward Chrissy King earned the defensive and offensive awards announced the conference office on Monday.

The Eagles opened the GSAC tournament with a pair of victories, beating Hope International 3-0 on Tuesday and stunning No. 14 Westmont College 2-1 on Saturday. Biola has won won six-straight matches, improving to 12-6-1 and reaching its first-ever GSAC Tournament Championship Game.

Williams allowed just one goal while facing 20 shots and making seven saves in the Eagles' playoff wins last week. On Tuesday, Williams faced nine shots and made three saves to earn her GSAC-best seventh shutout of the season. Saturday, she  made four saves and faced 11 shots to lead the Eagles to a 2-1 upset win at Westmont. Biola has won six-straight games and Williams has allowed just three goals over that stretch, lowering her goals against average to 0.79--the second-best mark in the conference.

King scored a pair of goals in playoff action last week including the game-winner on Saturday in Biola's 2-1 upset win over No. 12 Westmont to reach the GSAC Final. In Tuesday's GSAC Tournament Opening Round match, King had a goal and an assist in the Eagles' 3-0 win over Hope International. In Saturday's GSAC Semifinal, King scored the eventual match-winner to lead Biola to a 2-1 win at Westmont--just their third win over the Warriors in program history. King has three goals and two assists on the season.
