Box Score LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola continued its outstanding play at home, scoring five times to defeat San Diego Christian College 5-0 in a GSAC match on Wednesday afternoon at Al Barbour Field.

The Eagles improve to 6-5-1 on the season and move to 3-2-0 in conference play with the victory. The Hawks fall to 4-7-0 on the heels of their fourth-straight loss and are now 1-4-0 in the GSAC.

Biola received goals from five different players in the victory and outshot San Diego Christian 31-5 overall.

The Eagles got on the board early with a great goal in the 12th minute by senior Katie Cabuling. After a hard foul, Cabuling set up the free kick outside of the far corner of the box, about 28 yards out. She fired a hard shot over the wall, banging it off the cross bar and down off the midsection of a Hawk defender and into the goal. It was Cabuling's third goal of the season off a free kick.

Michelle Andre tallied the game's second goal in the 35th minute, collecting a loose ball in the box off a corner kick and blasting it into the back of the net.

Biola added one more before the half, receiving a great pass from Taylor Lundquist and finishing with a quick shot from 10 yards out.

The Eagles would add two more goals late in the contest. In the 73rd minute, Barr converted one of two penalty shots to make it a four goal game. After being awarded a penalty kick as Chrissy King was fouled in the box, Barr took the spot kick, but rattled it off off the post. The ball went right to Jessica Austin charging in, but she was taken down just seconds later leading to another PK. Barr would successfully score this time with a shot to the left to make it 4-0.

With just over four minutes to play, the Eagles put the icing on the cake. Chrissy King made a great run down the far side, beating a pair of defenders, then sliding a cross to a wide-open Ashleigh Cooley, who tapped it into the open net.

Briana Williams recorded the shutout, making a pair of saves in the second half to preserve the clean sheet. She made a fantastic diving stop on a breakaway chance by Zoar Gonzales with 15 minutes later. She repeated the feat five minutes later on the last real scoring chance by the Hawks in the game.

The victory was another high-scoring one for Biola at home. The Eagles have scored 13 goals over its last three home games.

Biola's next match will be a tough one as the Eagles welcome in No. 10 Vanguard (9-2-0, 5-0-0 GSAC) for a GSAC showdown at 4:30 p.m. on Al Barbour Field. Biola has found odd success against the Lions, recording a 7-0-2 record in the last nine matches between the two teams with six of the last seven matches coming with Vanguard nationally-ranked. If you come, plan on staying a while as all of the last seven matches between the two have gone overtime with the last five reaching double-OT.
