PRIMM, Nev. --- Whitney Hobbs broke a personal best and her own program record by finishing with a 14-over-par 158 on Tuesday to lead Biola at the California Baptist University Spring Break Invitational at the Primm Valley Golf Club Lakes Course in Primm, Nevada.

Hobbs finished tied for 13th overall--just two shots out of eighth place--by carding rounds of 80 and 78 for a two-day total of 158.

Beth Williams also had a personal best performance, breaking 100 for the first time with a 99 on the first day, then following that up with an impressive round of 89 on the second day for a two-day total of 188. She finished in 58th place overall.

"Assistant Coach Jane Carr has done a great job of working with the women's team and helping the girls improve so much this season," said Head Coach Hank Woodrome. "We couldn't have done this without her."

Biola wraps up the 2010-11 season with a trip to Oregon for the NAIA Regional Qualifier at the Diamond Woods Golf Club in Monroe, Ore., April 11-12.
