LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola senior Dwight Gordon has been named the Golden State Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 14-20 as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Gordon, a senior from Fontana, scored 37 points in two GSAC wins by No. 15 Biola last week, including a season-high 25 points in the Eagles' upset win over No. 2 Concordia on Saturday. For the week, Gordon shot 13-of-24 (54.2 percent) from the field and was 11-of-14 (78.6 percent) from the free throw line.

in the win at Fresno Pacific, Gordon scored a team-high 12 points, and had four rebounds. Against Concordia, the senior was 10-for-14 from the field, adding five assists, four rebounds, a block and two steals.

Gordon's 25 points against Concordia marked the sixth time in the last nine games he had scored 20 or more points in a game. His 14.6 points per game average leads the team and is currently fifth-best in the GSAC. He also ranks 10th in minutes played and is 11th in assists.

Biola returns to action on Tuesday (Feb. 22), making the short trip to Fullerton to take on Hope International University in a GSAC game at 7:30 p.m.
