ALOHA, Ore. --- Biola's
Lauren Marlow carded a 12-over-par 158 to place seventh overall out of 42 golfers, leading Biola to a fourth-place finish at the 2011 Culturame Classic hosted by George Fox College on Friday and Saturday.
Marlow had another solid round with a 74 on Saturday, tying for the second-best round overall. Despite a bit of a struggle in the second round which saw her shoot an 84, Marlow still finished in the Top 15.
Jackie Mata finished tied for 21st with a 31-over 177 (86-91) followed by
Caylie Allen--who was playing as an individual--in 24th with a 179 (89-90).
Hawaii-Hilo won the event with a 17-over par 601 on the par 73 course with George Fox finishing second at 40-over-par. Linfield had a 96-over-par 680 to finish third, 32 shots ahead of the Eagles.
This tournament closed out the fall schedule for Biola which plans an ambitious spring schedule in the hopes of moving into the national picutre. The schedule will be released in the next few weeks.
