LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola seniors Danny Campbell, Rocky Hampton, and Marlon King were each named to the 2009-10 All-Golden State Athletic Conference men's basketball team as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Biola had three of the 15-member all-conference team, the most representatives of any school in the conference and the highest number of Eagles on the team since Biola had four on the 2001-02 squad.

Hampton, a post from Lake Arrowhead, was one of the dominant centers in the conference this season. The senior led the GSAC in rebounding (8.7 rpg) and blocks (2.5 bpg), third in field goal percentage (58.7%) and was eighth in scoring (14.2 ppg). Hampton led the conference in offensive rebounds with 97 (3.2/game) and was second in defensive rebounds (5.5/game).

Hampton also ranked among the best in the NAIA, finshing the regular season fourth in blocked shots, 12th in total rebounds and 13th in field goal percentage.

Hampton recorded 11 double-doubles on the season including a 20-point, 10-rebound performance in Biola's victory over arch-rival Azusa Pacific on Feb. 9. He recorded at least one blocked shot in all but three games and reached double-figures in scoring in 23 of 30 games.

In Biola's game against California Baptist on Saturday, Hampton recorded 17 points to put him over the 1,500-point plateau for his career. He became the fifth Biola player to score that many points in a career and is just 78 points out of fourth on the all-time scoring list.

King, a guard from San Diego, was one of the best defensive players in the conference and ranked among the best in the NAIA this season. The senior was one of the main reasons Biola led the nation in scoring defense, leading the conference and ranking second in the country in steals (2.8/game). He also had the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the GSAC (2.1) and ranked second in assists (4.8/game).

King had at least one steal and one assist in each game this season. His season-best in steals was six done on three different occasions including Biola's blowout win at arch-rival Azusa Pacific in January. He also had a season high of nine assists twice.

King was also a lethal scorer, ranking 20th in the conference in points per game with 11.1. He posted a career-high 25 in the aforementioned win at Azusa Pacific, then followed it up with 22 points one week later at Westmont. King hit 55% of his shots from the field to finish sixth in the conference.

King became the 22nd Biola player to score over 1,000 points in his career, pouring in 11 points as the Eagles defeated Vanguard at home in the beginning of January. He currently has 1,079 points in his Biola career, 14th on the all-time scoring list.

Campbell, a guard from Orange, ranked among the best three-point shooters in the conference this season, recording 63 treys and hitting just under 40 percent from beyond the arc. The senior's 63 three-pointers were the fifth-most in the conference and his 39.6% shooting from long range was the 10th best mark. He also finished 12th in scoring, averaging 12.8 points per game.

Campbell seemed to save the best for last, averaging just over 16 points per game in his final 13 contests of the regular season, including a career-best 32 points and 10 rebounds in Biola's victory over arch-rival Azusa Pacific in February. He scored of 20 points in five games this season, four coming in a seven-game stretch from mid-January to mid-February.

Campbell also eclipsed the 1,000-point mark this season in the victory over Azusa Pacific. He became the 23rd player to do so and his 1,076 points currently ranks him 16th on the all-time scoring list.

Biola wrapped up the regular season with an impressive 26-4 overall record, and was ranked No. 6 in the latest NAIA Rankings. The Eagles' 16-4 conference record was good enough for second-place and pits them against No. 7-seed California Baptist University in the first round of the GSAC playoffs which begin on Thursday (Mar. 4).
