LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Senior Tavea Hampton and sophomores Christine Douglas and Nicolette Mather have been named to the 2010 All-Golden State Athletic Conference team as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. 

Hampton, a middle blocker from Canyon Lake, was one of the best middles in the conference, ranking third in the GSAC in blocks and attack percentage. She finished the regular season averaging 1.02 blocks per set, recording a GSAC-best 128 blocks including five solo. She also posted a .393 attack percentage with 324 kills in 631 attacks while committing just 76 errors.

Hampton had four matches with double-digit kills and no errors this season and recorded an attack percentage of .500 or better in 11 of Biola's 33 matches. She reached double-figures in 16 matches including nine in GSAC matches. Hampton ranks second all-time in attack percentage at Biola with a .350 mark and ranks fifth in blocks with 318.

Douglas, an outside hitter from Cypress, led the team with 491 kills, ranking sixth in the conference with a 3.90 kills per set average. She added 51 blocks, 138 digs, 12 aces and 12 assists. 

Douglas reached double-figures in 24 matches including a career-high 31 kills in the regular-season finale at Point Loma Nazarene. She had 20 or more kills in nine matches. Douglas' best match of the season by the numbers came against Northwestern College where she recorded 17 kills in 27 attacks with no errors. In the match at Point Loma last week, she had 31 kills--two shy of the school record for a five-set match--and posted a .419 attack percentage.

Mather, a right-side hitter from Huntington Beach, had a solid sophomore campaign, recording 237 kills (1.99 per set) and posting a .265 attack percentage. She also finished the regular season with 51 blocks, 33 digs, and 29 assists. 

Mather's numbers got even better in conference play, recording 2.24 per set and posting a .294 attack percentage. She had six matches in double-figures in kills--all of which came in conference play. She posted a season-high 18 kills in a match against Point Loma Nazarene on Oct. 9. 

The trio is now eligible for NAIA All-American honors. The NAIA All-American teams are announced after the NAIA Tournament which wraps up on December 4. Kelsey Christoferson was Biola's last All-American, earning third-team honors last season.
