LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola goalkeeper Aaron Fenlason has been named the Golden State Athletic Conference defensive player of the week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 6, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Fenlason, a sophomore from Rancho Bernardo, turned away six shots including two on net, to record his third-straight shutout in Biola's 5-0 win over Trinity International University (Ill.) on Friday.

Fenlason was forced to make just two saves, including a diving stop on a wide-open, point-blank shot in the 26th minute of the contest.

Overall, Fenlason is 3-0-0 on the season and has yet to allow a goal in 2009. He has put together a scoreless streak of 282 minutes dating back to last season.

Biola returns to action on Monday night (Sept. 7), hosting Whittier College at 7:00 p.m. on Al Barbour Field.
