IRVINE, Calif. --- For the second-straight day, Biola's doubles teams played well, but in the end were not able to pull out a victory, falling to Concordia 9-0 in a GSAC match on Saturday.
Biola falls to 0-2 on the season and to 0-1 in GSAC play while Concordia improves to 2-1 and 1-0 in GSAC.
Biola played well in the first two doubles matches as
Tyler Jung and
Weston Leopold dropped a close 8-5 decision at No. 1 and
Colin Snow and Dan Westman played to the same score at No. 2. But in the end Concordia was able to pull out the doubles wins and played strong during singles play to sweep the match.
The Eagles return to the courts on Tuesday (Feb. 17), hosting Fresno Pacific University in a GSAC match at the Biola Tennis Complex at 2:00 p.m.
