LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Tuesday will be a busy day for fans of Biola Athletics as four big games for four different teams take place over a six-hour stretch. As an added bonus, all of the games will be available to follow online.

The volleyball team opens the busy day with a pool play game at the 2009 NAIA Volleyball National Championships. The match begins at 3:45 p.m. (PST) as the Eagles face off against No. 17 Indiana Tech. Biola (22-9), the No. 10 seed in the tournament, is making its third-straight NAIA tournament appearance and have reached Final Four the last two trips. Biola advanced to the second round after a thrilling shootout victory at the University of Texas-Brownsville two weeks ago. The Eagles have never won an NAIA tournament game (0-2-3 in previous five) and would advance to the Quarterfinals with a victory and face No. 3 Rio Grande (Ohio) on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Live video and commentary is offered by the NAIA via JumpTV at

The evening wraps up with a pair of big basketball games at Chase Gymnasium as the Eagles welcome Fresno Pacific University for the GSAC opener for both teams. The Biola women's basketball team opened the season ranked No. 25 in the NAIA and picked up their first "W" last week. The Eagles started the year with a trio of tough losses to three teams ranked in the NAIA Top 10. Both teams desperately need a victory to open the GSAC schedule in the game which tips-off at 5:30 p.m. While live video will not be available due to technical issues, fans can follow the action through
Biola's student radio station.
Live stats will also be available.
On the men's side, the Biola vs. Fresno Pacific game is likely to be one of the biggest in the GSAC this year. The Eagles are ranked No. 17 in the NAIA preseason poll and are 4-0 so far this season while the 6-0 Sunbirds started the year at No. 3 in the NAIA.
