LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola University seniors Meghan Warkentin and Kristen Peterson capped off an impressive season being named to the 2008 NAIA All-American squad as announced by the national body today.

Warkentin earned first-team honors for the third-straight season while Peterson was named to the third-team, earning recognition for the first time in her steller career.

Warkentin, an outside hitter from Visalia, wrapped up the 2008 campaign with a team-high 353 kills averaging just over 3.15 per set. She added 154 digs (1.38/set), 59 blocks (0.53/set), 26 assists and 10 aces. She wrapped up her career with an impressive 1,508 kills in just three seasons at Biola, averaging 4.36 per set. Warkentin's kill total is the sixth highest in school history while she leaves the Eagles with the most kills per set in the program's history.

Peterson, a middle blocker from Peoria, Ariz., closed out the season with 220 kills (1.95/set) and a team-high 124 blocks (1.10/set). She also recorded a .330 attack percentage. Peterson recorded at least five blocks and eight kills in 11 matches this season. For her career, Peterson finished third in school history with 313 blocks and fifth with 0.82 blocks per set.

Biola finished 31-4, finishing tied for third after reaching the NAIA National Semifinals for the second-straight year.
